About Me
Hi, I’m Emme. I’m a student, an EMT, an artist, and someone who’s endlessly curious about people and the world around me.
I’ve always been someone who learns by doing. As a kid, that meant turning my kitchen into a science lab and testing baking ratios like they were chemical formulas. Now, it means spending Tuesday nights on an ambulance, supporting patients in moments that are often scary and unpredictable. Being an EMT has taught me how to stay calm under pressure, how to listen when words don’t come easily, and how to care for people in the most human way possible. It’s also reminded me of the value of language—my Spanish skills often help bridge communication gaps in the field, especially during emergencies.
I’m passionate about public health, medicine, and understanding how culture, history, and systems all influence how people live and heal. I’m drawn to anthropology and history for the same reason I love art: they all help me see the full picture. Whether I’m sketching anatomical structures, studying ancient civilizations, or reading about global healthcare models, I’m fascinated by the way everything connects.
I also care deeply about the environment, especially the ocean. Scuba diving and swimming underwater make me feel grounded, present, and fully myself. I’m happiest in the water and feel a strong sense of responsibility to protect it. Climate change is personal to me, and I’m committed to learning how science, education, and policy can work together to protect our planet and its people.
At the core of everything I do is a desire to understand, to connect, and to contribute. I don’t always know exactly where my path will lead, but I know it will involve curiosity, care, and a commitment to doing meaningful work.
