Art & Expression
Art has always been a part of how I make sense of the world. I’m a visual learner, and drawing or painting often helps me process complex ideas, especially in science, medicine, and history. Whether I’m illustrating anatomy for a project, sketching to better understand a system, or just painting to reflect a mood, I use creativity as both a learning tool and a form of expression.
As the Art Editor for my school’s newspaper, I’ve illustrated editorials on a wide range of topics, from healthcare to politics, and was honored for my visual storytelling. I love finding ways to communicate meaning without relying on words, and I’m especially drawn to art that explores identity, systems, and human connection. For me, creativity isn’t separate from academics—it enhances it.
I believe that science and art aren’t opposites; they work together. Art fuels my curiosity, deepens my empathy, and helps me connect with others on a deeper level. It’s part of how I learn, lead, and view the world.
